András Gerevich

András Gerevich, born 1976 in Budapest, Hungary, is a poet, playwright, and screenwriter. He has published five poetry collections in Hungarian, most recently “Légzésgyakorlatok“ (2022). His poems, translations, reviews, and essays regularly appear in both Hungarian and international magazines and anthologies. According to Joachim Sartorius, the matter-of-fact tone of his poems can be frightening, precisely because his language endeavours to be controlled when dealing with many a trauma. The volume “Teiresias’ Confessions“ (Edition Solitude, 2013) is available in German. Recently, he was a fellow at the Literarisches Colloquium Berlin (2025) and a Visegrad Fellow at Villa Decius (2024).
