Michel Decar
Michel Decar was born in Augsburg in 1987 and now lives in Hamburg. He is a playwright, novelist and poet. His poetic language combines dramatic scenography with surreal metaphors and humor. In his long poem “Ich kam in Gestalt eines Elefanten” (März Verlag, 2023), he unfolds a love story full of transformations, passion and abysses. Most recently, he also published the novel “Kapitulation” (März Verlag, 2023). His dramatic work has been awarded the Kleist Prize (2014) and the New Playwriting Prize (2012), among others.
