HAUS FÜR POESIE

Xiaowan JIN (金小万), born in 1997 in Shandong (China), lives in Berlin and works as a literary scholar and translator. Her focus is on literary translation from Chinese into German. For her, translation is a poetic practice of mediation – a search for resonances between languages, memories, and cultural systems. Her most recent translation, The Decision to Be a Tree (2024), was recently published. She participated in the workshop “In Between, Beside, Right in the Middle” (LCB) and contributed to the PARATAXE Symposium XV (2024).
