Yildiz Çakar

Yildiz Çakar, born in Diyarbakır (Amed) in 1978, is an important poet and novelist of modern Kurdish literature. She has published ten books to date. Her poetry collection “Mohra Reş“ was published in 2024, and the title poem was adapted into the digital theatre project Lockedown Locked In, which won the Best Original Screenplay award at the Athens International Art Film Festival.
