Zhang Xuemeng (张雪萌)
Zhang Xuemeng (张雪萌), born in Hebei in 2000, is a young poet of the new Chinese generation. She studied at the University of Cambridge and is currently doing her doctorate at SOAS, University of London. Her poems have appeared in renowned Chinese literary journals such as Shikan (《诗刊》), Xingxing (《星星》), Renmin Wenxue (《人民文学》) and Qingnian Wenxue (《青年文学》). Their texts are characterized by a sensitive observation of everyday scenes, an experimental visual language and strong self-reflection - often linked to questions about body, stage and identity.
