Alaa Alqaisi

Alaa Alqaisi is a Palestinian writer, poet, translator, and researcher from Gaza City. She completed her Bachelor’s degree in English Literature at the Islamic University of Gaza, followed by graduate studies in the same field. She is currently pursuing a PhD at Trinity College Dublin, where she continues her academic and literary work. Her writing explores themes of cultural memory, literary tradition, and the intersections between Arabic and Western literature. Her work has appeared in publications including ArabLit, ArabLit Quarterly, The Avery Review, and Adi Magazine. In collaboration with Goethe im Exil, she was an author in residence at Literarisches Colloquium Berlin in February 2026.
