Awuor Ouma

Awuor Ouma, born in Kenya, lives in Germany and is a poet and writer. She has been writing in obscurity for years, shaping a voice attentive to grief, migration, belonging, and the emotional landscapes of African womanhood. Her work appears in “Doek!” and “The Kalahari Review”. Recently, she published the novella “Face Me, Darling” (2025) and her poetry collection “Blue Hands, Brown Skin” is forthcoming in late 2026 and has won the Cave Canem Poetry Prize (2026).
