Bohdan Piasecki

Bohdan Piasecki, born 1980 in Warsaw, Poland, currently residing in Birmingham, writes poetry designed for the communal experience of a live reading, exploring themes of memory, multilingualism, and denial. Embracing collaborative work that crosses disciplines, he brings his writing to unexpected contexts and global audiences ever since he founded Poland's first poetry slam in 2001. Piasecki was awarded the Forward Prize for Best Single Poem: Performed (2023). He lectures in Creative Writing at the University of Birmingham.
