Daniel Falb

Daniel Falb, born in 1977 in Kassel, is a poet and theorist based in Berlin. His work centers on naturalistic metaphysics within the framework of Anthropocene thought, biographical time, and the dynamics of the world Population and, most recently, on the automation of natural language. In 2024–25, Falb was artist-in-residence at Burg Hülshoff – Center for Literature and a fellow of the Berlin Program for Artistic Research. In this context, he produced the poetic research project “Earth Spirits. Notations on AI Animism” (Textem, 2026). In 2025, he held the Thomas Kling Lectureship for Poetry at the University of Bonn; the lecture was recently published under the title “Training Datasets and World Literature” (Lilienfeld, 2026).
