Dima Albitar Kalaji

Dima Albitar Kalaji, born in Damascus, Syria, lives in Berlin. As a writer and cultural journalist, she has published in various newspapers and journals, including APuZ, FAZ, Berliner Zeitung, and Zeit Online. She worked as a curator and editor for “Weiter Schreiben” and “WIR MACHEN DAS”. Her texts have been translated into English, Italian, and Polish. For her, Poetry does not live in writing, but in listening. Her debut “An das Monster” will be published in German and Arabic by Elif Verlag in 2026. In 2025, she received the ALTROVE / AILLEURS / ANDERSWO fellowship of the Cultural Ensemble in Palermo.
