HAUS FÜR POESIE

Elvira Steppacher, born in Münster-Hiltrup in 1963, lives in Munich. The author explores animals, plants, stones and people in museums, zoos, the city and cemeteries. She writes poetry and prose and holds a PhD in literary studies. Her poems have been published repeatedly in the Jahrbuch der Lyrik. She received the “Junge Kunst und Neue Wege” working grant from the Free State of Bavaria and the annual grant from the German Literature Fund.
