Erec Schumacher

Erec Schumacher lives and works in Berlin as an independent writer, visual artist, publisher, founder of etcetera press berlin, as well as an organizer and activist. He is a founding member of the Network of the Independent Literary Scene and PEN Berlin, and is active in the Coalition of the Independent Arts Scene Berlin. He also serves as a board member of the artists’ collective KOOK e.V.. Most recently, in 2024, his works included “neufundland” (Moloko Print) as well as chapbooks featuring visual poetry, cut-ups, and décollages, most recently “Bullshit-Tage” (etcetera press berlin, 2025). In 2024 and 2025, he organized the festival “Multiverse – Contemporary Positions in Visual Poetry.” In 2025, he received a literary project grant from the State of Berlin.
