Lara Rüter

Lara Rüter, born 1990 in Hannover, currently living in Leipzig. She won the poetry prize at the 26th Open Mike. In 2020, she received the Caroline Schlegel Prize for Essay Writing; in 2021, she won the Wolfgang Weihrauch Prize at the Literary March; and in 2025, she received the Kranichsteiner Literaturförderpreis. She was also the Stadtschreiberin von Halle (engl. city writer of Halle) in the same year. Her poetry collection “amoretten in netzen” was published by Wunderhorn in 2024, and her essay “Affenliebe” was published by Hanser in spring 2026.
