Márió Z. Nemes

Márió Z. Nemes, born in 1982 in Hungary, studied philosophy in Budapest. His poetics are shaped by a range of genres, including Western, horror, film noir, pulp, and science fiction. He is a co-founder of the poetry group “Telep Csoport” and the fanzine “Technology and the Uncanny.” To date, he has published three poetry collections: “Improvised Remarks on the Flesh” (2006), “Bauxite” (2010), and “The Archbishop Weeps” (2014). In 2014, his essay collection “Preparation as Metaphor” was published. In 2015, he was awarded the János Sziveri Prize.
