Ramona de Jesús

Ramona de Jesús, born 1990, grew up between Bogotá and Mumbai. She studied literary and creative writing in Berlin and Buenos Aires. Her poetry collection “Dos metros cuadrados de piel” (2021) was awarded Colombia’s National Prize for Unpublished Works. Her translation of Friederike Mayröcker’s “cuando en las mañanas y el verde musgo. Entro por la ventana” (2026) received a grant from the German Translators Fund. In 2025, she became the first non-German writer to receive the Harald Gerlach Literary Fellowship for her second poetry collection, “Manual arqueológico del hambre” (2026). She is currently writer-in-residence at the Akademie Schloss Solitude.
