Salean A. Maiwald, born in 1948 in Wuppertal, lives in Berlin. She has published non-fiction books, including "Von Frauen enthüllt – Aktdarstellungen durch Künstlerinnen vom Mittelalter bis zur Gegenwart" (AvivA 1999) and "Aber die Sprache bleibt – Gespräche mit deutschstämmigen Juden in Israel" (Kramer 2008), as well as the novel "Schwebebahn zum Mond" (Konkursbuch 2017). In 2023, she published the poetry collection "Ölbaum“ (Verlag der 9 Reiche).
