Widad Nabi
Widad Nabi, born in 1985 in Kobani, Syria, raised in Aleppo, lives in Berlin and is a Kurdish-Syrian poet and writer. She writes for Berliner Zeitung, der Freitag, Spiegel Online, and Zeit Online, among others. Her texts have been translated into English, French, Italian, Spanish, and Turkish. Her works include “Kurz vor dreißig küss mich” (Sujet Verlag 2019) and “Wurzeln schlagen” (Sujet Verlag 2025). In 2025, she received the international Camaiore Poetry Prize in Italy.
