Poets' Corner Schöneweide
Spoken out of the dark
Are you still awake? Have you been dreaming about me? Can you remember? Can you still remember the color of your mother's dress? The languages of her dream? Your languages, those waking and those sleeping? I chewed a handful of lotus leaves and wrapped myself in you, blurring all contours until we resembled each other. I smuggled pictures and you gave me a riddle. I concealed my body from the world. I dove deep. With soft, jumbled limbs, into dark archives, listening to the howling of poems yet unborn, my mind a tangle in the alleys of the night.
What does darkness know that day does not and how does it know those things? During a night walk through the area around the Novilla in Schöneweide we will explore this question, accompanied by live poetry in German and Greek with German translation. Since the reading will be transmitted via headphones, places are limited. Please register at: poetscorner@haus-fuer-poesie.org.
