Four poets will read at Haus für Poesie this evening and discuss their writing with Alexander Gumz.

Karen Byk (born 1993 in Buenos Aires) has lived in Berlin since 2018. She has published two poetry collections, Hice una fiesta y ahora quiero echarlos (Valparaíso Ediciones 2024) and Tocarle los huesos al bosque (Siesta Verlag 2022), as well as fanzines. Her Spanish translations of Debora Vogel were published under the title Flores de Vidrio (Milena Caserola 2024).

Dirk Held (born 1968 in Cochem) lives in Ottobrunn near Munich and writes poetry for adults and children. In self-publishing, he released the collection Traumfische in 2015, illustrated by Henriette v. Bodecker. In 2024, Ottobrunner Tristette was published by Black Ink Verlag. Excerpts from his work earned him an invitation to the Munich Poetry Prize in 2015.

Alexander Rudolfi (born 1987 in Freyung) was the winner of Open Mike in 2022. In the same year, he published his debut collection hyperlinklabyrinthe (parasitenpresse). Two more collections followed in 2025: Willkommen im Bauch der Maschine (Rohstoff Verlag) and Werg oder Versuch, das Haus einer Kindheit zu errichten (Wehrhahn Verlag).

Kim Sono (born 1992 in Seoul) lives as a poet between Seoul and Berlin, working at the intersection of language, sound, and physicality. Three poetry collections have been published: Night Soccer (2020), The Film Set (2022), and Syncopation (2024), as well as two essay collections: Rubato for the Unknown (2022) and Parallax Notes (2023).
