Anne Clark shaped an entire generation with her blend of spoken word, electronic music, and poetry.

With songs like Sleeper in Metropolis and Our Darkness, she became a cult figure of the 1980s. Her socially critical lyrics and analog sounds have influenced musicians worldwide. In this compelling documentary, director Claus Withopf—who accompanied Anne Clark for nearly a decade—portrays an artist who, with existential texts, sonic experimentation, and uncompromising authenticity, pushes the boundaries of music and poetry.

In case of rain, the screening will take place at the Haus für Poesie.
