The sun is noticeably growing colder, and in times of climate crisis and war, even the weather no longer lends itself to trivial small talk. How long can we hold our breath, and how do we cope with the traumatic experiences of death and violence? One last time – one very last time – a beloved dish is prepared for a great love.

These films tell stories of farewell, loneliness, and grief. They guide us through surreal visual worlds, take us on wanderings through deserted neighborhoods, and at times gently place a comforting hand on our shoulder.

Please note: The short film program also deals with topics such as violence, separation, loss and emotional stress. Some films contain explicit depictions and intense emotional scenes that can be disturbing.
