Ghosts flicker in the crack of a door, urging us to clean the windows. Squeaky-yellow cheese variations, made in the USA, pile up before us, while long-forgotten melodies echo in the distance. The Arabic alphabet is vogued to shake off prejudice. What is our relationship to emerging cyborgs? And what’s behind the social media hype around the Roman Empire?

The films in this program critically engage with both modern and historical myths, venturing into in-between worlds of the living and the dead.

Please note: The short film program also deals with topics such as violence, separation, loss and emotional stress. Some films contain explicit depictions and intense emotional scenes that can be disturbing.
