About Vocations
Vocations is a series situated at the intersection of poetry, music, voice, and performance. It brings together poets, composers, musicians, and performers, creating spaces for artistic encounters, transdisciplinary collaboration, and the development of new forms.
At its core, Vocations is defined by openness: to diverse musical and poetic practices, to multilingualism, and to forms that resist clear categorization within a single genre. Poems are sung, spoken, set to music, and performed; music intersects with language, the body, electronics, and improvisation. Artistic works emerge both through sustained collaborations and through spontaneous encounters in shared creative spaces.
Since its first edition in 2023, Vocations has continued to evolve, encompassing workshops and salons, the Vocations – open space series, as well as new commissions and world premieres. The series functions as an open platform for artists and audiences alike: a space for exchange, experimentation, and encounters with artistic practices that expand familiar boundaries between poetry and music.
